There is no denying that visiting the Parade of Homes is one of the best ways to spark your design inspiration! From minimalism to traditional to industrial to mid-century modern, you will see it all AND more at all of the different price points featured.
This year’s Spring Parade of Homes offered some of my favorite home styles year to date, so I figured it was the perfect time to round up the biggest design trends I saw while touring homes.
With that, I’ll leave you to it. Warning: Get ready to swoon!
Builder: Stonegate Builders
earthy tones
We are seeing more and more earth-tone paint colors and textiles in new builds and renovation projects.
After Sherwin Williams’ announced their dreamy Evergreen Fog as their Color of the Year in 2022, this color has made a massive statement in virtually every space throughout many homes.
I’m talking - kitchen cabinets, office built-ins, accent walls, fireplaces, bathrooms - you name it.

warm wood tones
While white kitchens are still incredibly popular, we are seeing the return of warmer wood tones throughout homes. A common theme in this year’s Parade was to feature white upper cabinets with warmer wood tones accenting the lower cabinets or kitchen island.
Think white oak and other warm wood tones. This is one of my favorite trends because it warms up the home in such a subtle, yet impactful way.
My absolute favorite feature they are incorporating more and more are exposed beams!

wallpaper + paint combinations
Wallpaper has been making its return for a while now, but one thing that was seen in this year’s Parade was the incorporation of wallpaper in much larger spaces, such as an entire bedroom.
Bigger and bolder patterns are taking hold and I am here for it! In addition, I saw a lot of trim paint color coordination with wallpaper selections - sometimes even making an appearance on the ceilings of rooms. The updates make impactful statements and hold your attention.

I know what you’re thinking: “Paneling is SO outdated.” And you’re right, it definitely can be. But wall paneling has come a LONG way and is no longer reserved for older homes.
Many decorative paneling options are often budget-friendly, sustainable, and easy to DIY. From shiplap to wainscoting, there’s no better way to add more design interest to a room than with paneling.
If you prefer to lean more neutral in your color palett, paneling is an easy way to add some contrast and dimension to your home. Give it a try and you just might fall in love!
