Shop Small this Holiday

It doesn’t have to be Small Business Saturday to shop small…

Some of you may know that the past couple of years I have had the opportunity to help consult on a couple of small Twin Cities businesses. I reviewed their annual goals, helped them to streamline, prioritize and focus; all while trying to maximize their profit. Their love and passion for what they’re sharing with their community, whether it is a service or product, is captivating.

These small businesses have big goals and big dreams, and it is important for us to put them in the spotlight these next couple of weeks. They are counting on their local communities to see them through the winter and holiday season! This time of year tends to make or break a small company’s margins, making this year more important than ever to shop small.

So with that, I am taking a moment to highlight some of my Twin Cities favorites. They each bring an individuality that helps brighten our little neck of the world and should be shared with others. Do your part in helping put food on their table this year, instead of shopping big box stores. They are counting on us!

Tula Spa

Your days at the spa might be fewer and farther between, but that doesn’t mean you can’t bring the spa to you! Tula has some amazing products to purchase in store that will bring new life to your daily skin regiment or beauty secrets. And if you’re wanting something to look forward to, buy yourself a gift card to book that facial or massage down the road when we sayonara to 2020 and hopefully COVID.

ThisFem

My love for this brand runs deep! Not only is the founder and owner one of my closest friends, but ThisFem was a labor of love of mine for about 18 months. The quality is top notch and the meaning behind the brand is even better! Shouting equality from the roof tops is their mission and the apparel is some of the best I’ve worn. (I’m embarrassed to say how many ThisFem items I own, but who’s counting). Do yourself a favor, and give it a try. I promise you won’t regret it!

Mother Co.

If you’ve been in my home or seen photos, which I’m guessing most of you have, you know I’m a big fan of plants! They are a beautiful way to add a small pop of color, dimension, and life to a room. If I had to guess at least 50% of my indoor potted plants are from Mother Co. and I just keep going back for more. Whether you want to spruce up your place with a little greenery, or you need a fun gift idea, they’ve got something for everyone…green thumb or not!
